Browser-based tools
Text, generator, encoder and calculator tools run entirely in your browser. What you type is not sent to us.
Server-based tools
When you use a checker (for example the redirect or DNS checker) we receive the URL, domain or keyword you submit so we can fetch public information about it. We do not store tool results, apart from short-term caching of public lookups to keep the service fast.
Short links and QR codes
When you create a short link we store the destination URL, the time, and your IP address (to enforce free-usage limits and investigate abuse). When someone opens a short link we record an anonymous click: time, approximate country (derived from the IP address with GeoLite2 data and not stored as an IP), referring website and device type. Link owners can see these aggregated statistics.
Accounts
If you create an account we store your email address, optional name and a securely hashed password. You can delete your account and all of its links at any time in Account settings.
Logs, cookies and advertising
Our servers keep short-lived technical logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and reliability, and use rate limits based on IP addresses. We use essential cookies for logins and preferences, and may show ads from Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites; you can opt out at Google Ads Settings.
Third-party services
Some tools query public services such as YouTube, Moz, Google Safe Browsing, RDAP/WHOIS registries and the Internet Archive. Their privacy policies apply to those requests. This product includes GeoLite2 data created by MaxMind, available from maxmind.com.
