SEO Audit & Score

Run a complete on-page SEO audit with a score out of 100 and a prioritised fix list.

What is an SEO audit?

An on-page SEO audit checks a web page against the technical and content factors that affect how search engines crawl, understand and rank it — title, meta description, headings, indexability, HTTPS, mobile viewport, structured data, speed and more — and lists what to fix first.

What the audit checks

The URLMode audit runs 21 checks in seconds and weights them by impact. Critical items (shown in red) can stop a page from ranking at all; warnings (amber) limit how well it performs; passes (green) are already in good shape.

AreaChecks
Indexabilitynoindex in meta robots or X-Robots-Tag, HTTPS, canonical tag, robots.txt, XML sitemap
ContentTitle length, meta description length, single H1, H2 structure, word count, image alt text
Mobile & markupViewport meta tag, html lang attribute, favicon, JSON-LD structured data, Open Graph tags
PerformanceServer response time, HTML size, compression, redirect hops, URL length

How the score is calculated

Each check has a weight (indexability and titles count more than favicons). A pass earns the full weight, a warning half, a failure nothing. The total is scaled to 100: 85+ Excellent, 70–84 Good, 50–69 Needs work, below 50 Poor. A high score means the page has no technical obstacles; rankings still depend on content quality, links and competition.

Fix the most important problems first

  1. Not indexable? Remove the noindex directive — nothing else matters until the page can be indexed.
  2. Title and description. Write a unique title of 30–65 characters with the main keyword near the start, and a 70–165 character description that sells the click. Preview it with the SERP Snippet Preview.
  3. One clear H1 that matches the topic, then H2s for each section.
  4. Canonical pointing at the clean URL — check it with the Canonical URL Checker.
  5. Speed: server response under 0.8 s, gzip/brotli compression, and as few redirects as possible.
  6. Structured data (Article, Product, FAQ, Organization) to qualify for rich results — generate FAQ markup with the FAQ Schema Generator.

What an audit cannot tell you

A single-page audit does not measure backlinks, search demand or real-user Core Web Vitals. Pair it with the DA PA Checker for authority, the Keyword Suggestion Tool for demand, and Google Search Console for field data. Re-run the audit after every change and watch the score climb.

Frequently asked questions

Is this SEO audit tool free?

Yes. Audits are free and need no sign-up. Each visitor can run a generous number of checks per day.

What is a good SEO score?

85 or higher is excellent and means the page has no major technical problems. Scores below 70 usually have at least one issue worth fixing.

Does a perfect score guarantee rankings?

No. The audit removes technical obstacles, but rankings also depend on content quality, search intent, backlinks and competition.

Can I audit any website?

Yes, any public URL. Pages behind logins or blocked by firewalls cannot be checked.

How often should I run an audit?

After every significant change, and at least once a quarter for your most important pages.
