Article Rewriter

Rewrite text with synonyms to create a fresh version of your content.

What does an article rewriter do?

An article rewriter (paraphrasing tool) replaces common words in a text with synonyms to produce a new variation that keeps the meaning. It is useful for rephrasing your own sentences, but the result always needs human editing.

How this rewriter works

Our rewriter uses a built-in dictionary of several hundred synonym groups. Roughly three quarters of the words that have a synonym are swapped, capitalisation is preserved, and articles are corrected ("a" ↔ "an"). Each click produces a different variation. The text is processed on our server and not stored.

Good uses

  • Rephrasing a sentence of your own that sounds repetitive.
  • Creating variations of product descriptions, ad copy or social posts that you then edit.
  • Finding alternative words when you are stuck.

What not to do

Do not spin other people's articles and publish them. Synonym-swapped copies are still plagiarism, often read awkwardly, and Google's spam policies target "scaled content" created to manipulate rankings. Rewritten text that adds nothing new will not rank anyway.

Making rewritten text good

  1. Proof-read every sentence — synonyms do not always fit the context ("run a business" ≠ "sprint a business").
  2. Add something original — your own experience, data, examples or opinions. That is what search engines and readers reward.
  3. Check readability with the Word Counter, which includes a readability score.
  4. Compare versions with Text Compare to see exactly what changed.

Frequently asked questions

Is rewritten content good for SEO?

Only if it adds value. Simply swapping words does not make content better, and publishing spun copies of others' work can break Google's spam policies.

Is using an article rewriter plagiarism?

Rewriting someone else's article without credit is still plagiarism. Use the tool for your own text.

Why do some sentences sound odd?

Synonyms do not always fit the context. Always edit the output before using it.

Is my text saved?

No. It is processed to create the rewrite and not stored.
