How do I turn keywords into hashtags?

A text-to-hashtag converter removes spaces and symbols from each keyword or phrase and adds a # sign, producing hashtags like #ColdBrewCoffee. Using one phrase per line or comma creates multi-word hashtags; plain text creates one hashtag per word.

Two input styles

  • Keyword list (one per line or comma-separated): cold brew, coffee lover, barista tips → #ColdBrew #CoffeeLover #BaristaTips.
  • Plain text: each word longer than two letters becomes its own hashtag.

Hashtags use CamelCase, which is easier to read and helps screen readers pronounce them. Duplicates are removed automatically.

Choosing good hashtags

  1. Prefer specific hashtags over generic giants like #love — you compete with millions of posts.
  2. Mix one broad, one niche and one branded hashtag.
  3. Check what the hashtag is actually used for before adopting it.

Frequently asked questions

How do I make hashtags from a sentence?

Paste the text. Each word becomes a hashtag; to keep phrases together, put each phrase on its own line or separate them with commas.

Should hashtags use capital letters?

CamelCase, like #ColdBrewCoffee, is easier to read and more accessible. Platforms treat capitalised and lowercase versions as the same hashtag.

How many hashtags should I use on Instagram?

Three to five highly relevant hashtags usually work better than the maximum of 30.
